Class 3A Piedmont (6-1) and Class 2A Spring Garden (7-0) both maintained their respective rankings in the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association football poll. The latest rankings were released early Wednesday morning.
Piedmont holds steady at No. 4, while Spring Garden stays at No. 6. The Bulldogs travel to Hokes Bluff (3-4) on Friday, while Spring Garden is at Sand Rock (6-1).
Speaking of Sand Rock, the Wildcats continue to receive consideration for the 2A rankings. Class 1A Cedar Bluff (4-3) and Class 4A Cherokee County (5-2) also received consideration for this week’s poll.
Cedar Bluff hosts Appalachian (0-6), while Cherokee County hosts Cleburne County (4-3) on Friday.
