Sand Rock defeats Cherokee County, Hokes Bluff in volleyball tri-match

CENTRE – Sand Rock swept a volleyball tri-match in Centre on Tuesday. The Lady Wildcats defeated Cherokee County 25-21, 25-20 and beat Hokes Bluff 25-13, 25-12 to improve to 39-6 on the season.

Cherokee County also lost to Hokes Bluff 25-19, 18-25, 10-15.

Lanie Henderson posted 16 kills. Katelyn St. Clair collected 12 kills and eight digs for Sand Rock. Jadyn Foster contributed nine aces and five kills. Chloe Stephens came away with 12 digs, six aces, four kills and three blocks. McKenna Ballenger managed 32 assists. Caley Garrett had 23 digs, and Jacey Stephens finished with three aces and three kills.

Macy Lea managed 18 assists and three kills for the Lady Warriors. Kenzie Hunter had 15 kills and an ace. Anna Walker added four aces and three kills. Libby Curry came away with five aces. Vivian Connell had three kills. Nevaeh Gaidurgis finished with three kills and two aces.

Cherokee County hosts Cedar Bluff on Thursday while Sand Rock hosts Glencoe and Fort Payne.
