Centre Engine 9 responded to reports of a vehicle fire on Wednesday at Murphy USA at the same time Engine 11 was responding to an unknown fire on Big Nose Dr.
Fire personnel arrived and found a vehicle which was smoking near the fuel pumps at Murphy. The hand line was quickly deployed and the engine compartment cooled, preventing any damage to the interior or contents of the vehicle.
Engine 11 was cancelled by Centre Police Officers when the fire on Big Nose was determined to be a controlled burn.
