Attalla Woman Fatally Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident Wednesday Night

A two-vehicle crash at around 9:50 Wednesday night, claimed the life of a 44 year old Etowah County woman.

Stacey Davenport Scott of an Attalla address was fatally injured when the 2004 Chevy Trailblazer she was driving crossed the centerline of the roadway and collided with a 2012 Nissan Maxima.  She was transported by helicopter to a nearby hospital for treatment, where she died the following day.

The driver of the Nissan, Christy Denise Keeton,  age 44 of Albertville and a child who was a passenger in that vehicle were both transported by helicopter for treatment as well – but no additional information has been released regarding their condition.  

That crash occurred on Alabama Highway 75 near Bethany Road approximately two-miles south of Albertville.  

Nothing additional is being released at this time – as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
