CENTRE — The Cherokee County Lady Warriors earned a 29-27, 25-18 volleyball victory over visiting Ashville on Thursday.

Vivian Connell collected nine kills, a block and a dig for the Lady Warriors. Nevaeh Gaidurgis contributed eight kills, three digs and a pair of aces. Karlee Jolly came away with six kills and five digs. Aubrie Abernathy added 16 assists, eight aces and five digs.

Emilee Paul posted four digs, three kills and two aces. Greenley Robbins delivered five digs, two assists and a kill. Libby Curry had two kills and an assist. Ellison Givens finished with a dig.

Cherokee County takes on Gaylesville in the opening match of the Cherokee County Tournament on Saturday at 9 a.m. at Sand Rock.
