A Huntsville man was arrested on Monday, for Burglary 1st, Domestic Violence 3rd, and Criminal Mischief 1st, according to Sheriff Jonathon Horton.

Davaughn Horton is accused of forcing entry and assaulting a resident on Rowan Dr on 9/12/2021 according to Investigator Wesley Smith. Another occupant of the residence was able to pull the assailant away from the victim. Horton allegedly destroyed and damaged property inside the residence after the assault. The victim was treated and released at a local hospital for non life threatening injuries.

Horton was taken into custody in the Hazel Green area of Madison County by the US. Marshalls Service’s Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force. He is currently incarcerated in the Etowah County Detention Center with a bond of $106,500 and holds with other agencies.
