WEAVER – The Spring Garden Lady Panthers swept a pair of volleyball matches against Weaver and Wellborn on Thursday. They defeated host Weaver 25-16, 25-16, then beat Wellborn 25-6, 25-5 to improve to 18-2 on the season.

In the win over Weaver, Alle Jennings delivered eight kills and an ace. Neely Welsh and Suzie Carter both contributed six kills and an ace. Abbey Steward added 27 assists and an ace. Maggie Jarrett came away with five kills. Aubrey Sadler had three kills, and Timi Scoggin finished with three aces.

Against Wellborn, Jennings and Welsh both posted eight kills and a pair of aces. Welsh also added a dig, an assist and a block. Carter collected eight aces, seven kills and two blocks. Steward had 22 assists. Jarrett and Abbie Woods finished with a kill and an ace respectively.

Spring Garden plays in a tournament at Donoho on Saturday.
