In northwest Georgia, two Hays State Prison inmates have been charged with murder in connection with the stabbing death of a fellow-inmate earlier this year.
Jorge Renberto Ventura was reportedly murdered in his cell at Hays, back in June; he was serving a sentence for molesting a 13-year-old girl he met online.
On Tuesday of this week, both 37-year-old Kendrick Monquell Cheeves and 38-year-old Davius Taylor were officially charged with the murder. The Georgia Department of Corrections has not released an official statement on the incidents or the arrests.
