The Centre City Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday afternoon.
The council approved the minutes from their regular meeting in August and approved bills for payment for the month.
Also approved was an increase in the annual Chamber of Commerce membership fees. A motion was also approved for the purchase of a desktop computer for the Centre Police Department.
The council also the purchase of four new air packs for the fire department in addition to materials for the fire services program.
The city also voted to sponsor the new soccer referee program.
At the recommendation of Councilmember Kay Davis, the city has declared October 18th-22nd as citywide cleanup week.
The council also voted to approve Sewell-McKee and Associates with finalizing the project plans for the new city pool project.
Also approved was the advertising for the annual Centre Fall Festival, city officials encourage everyone that wishes to participate to contact city hall for vendor information.
