Jacksonville Woman Dies in Two-Vehicle Collision Friday

A Jacksonville woman was fatally injured in a two-vehicle crash – taking place during the overnight hours, at approximately 1:20am Friday.

That Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report indicated that Emily Carver – 29, died from injuries sustained when a 2005 Ford Mustang that she was a passenger in was struck from behind at a high rate of speed by a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro, on U.S. 431, some five miles south of Glencoe.

The Camaro was driven by 21 year old Ryan Carstarphen of Montgomery, with Terrance Young of Ohatchee, driving the Mustang.

Both occupants of the Mustang were airlifted to UAB Hospital with Carver later dying at the medical facility.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division – are continuing to investigate.
