Cherokee County Arrest Files:

Kelvin Birgans, age 36 of Decatur, Alabama – Kidnapping/Interference with Custody;

Benjamin Wessler, age 33 of Centre – Domestic Violence 3rd Degree/Assault;

and

David Peppers, age 52 of Leesburg – Appearing in a Public Place while Under the Influence

Arrests are based on probable cause – all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law

Currently there are 77 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
