Funeral service for Ms. Dessie Fay “Doogie” Teet, 73, of Gadsden, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Glencoe Hokes Bluff Funeral Home with Brother Matt Griffith officiating the service.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Ms. Teet passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents, Velvia “Dee” Teet and Ruth Teet, her granddaughter, Sierra Walden, her brothers, Ernest Teet, Jerrell Teet and Bobby Joe Teet, her sisters in law, Elaine Teet, Sherry Teet, her nephews, Jacob Walker and Brody Walker.
Left to cherish the memory of Ms. Teet is her long time significant other, Larry Couch, her daughter, Tracy Walden, her three grandchildren Summer Walden (Mary Rosenbeck), Coby Teet and Harlie Teet, her sisters, Sandra Griffith (Pat) and Brenda Barber (Lynn), her brothers, Wayne Teet (Mary), James Teet (Debbie), Donny Teet, Jack Teet (Colleen) and David Teet (Jennifer), her special nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Ms. Teet was loved deeply by her family. They lovingly described as being meaner than an “Ol Striped Snake” who would do anything for her family. She enjoyed spending time tending to her chickens, making quilts, and cooking. She loved being around children and babies. Her most favorite thing to do was spend time with her family. She will forever be missed.
Pallbearers will be Greg Griffith, Glen Teet, Donny Teet, Corey Walker, Mary Rosenbeck, and Kage Grimes.
