According to the latest data, currently, statewide there are 2,845 people hospitalized with COVID, 2,804 are adults and there are 41 pediatric cases.

Of those adults – 85% were unvaccinated, 3% had received partial vaccinations, and 12% were fully vaccinated – meaning that it had been at least two weeks since a final dose was received.

The Alabama Hospital Association says the state has 1,612 COVID patients – for 1,558 staffed ICU beds.
