Spring Garden volleyball sweeps tri-match with Cleburne County, Cherokee County

SPRING GARDEN – The Spring Garden Lady Panthers swept a volleyball tri-match with Cleburne County and Cherokee County on Tuesday. The Lady Panthers eked out a 22-25, 25-14, 16-14 win over Cleburne County and swept Cherokee County 25-10, 25-7 to improve to 5-0 on the season.

Against Cleburne County, Abbey Steward posted 18 assists and an ace. Alle Jennings delivered eight kills. Ace Austin contributed seven kills and three aces. Neely Welsh collected three kills, three digs and two blocks. Suzie Carter contributed three blocks. Aubrey Sadler had two kills and a block. Abbie Woods added a pair of aces. Bri Boles and Timi Scogin finished with an ace and a dig respectively.

In the win over Cherokee County, Steward collected 19 assists. Welsh came away with eight kills, three aces and an assist. Carter came away with four kills and an ace. Austin also had four kills. Sadler posted three kills. Woods and Boles both had three aces. Jennings finished with two kills and a block.

Spring Garden hosts Cedar Bluff on Thursday at 5 p.m.
