Two people were jailed following the discovery of a homemade improvised explosive device. According to Floyd County Police an officer approached a vehicle in a parking lot on Kingston Road, and Christen Julia Ray age 26 of Rome was initially arrested for public drunk and then resisted while being placed in handcuffs.
A man in the vehicle, 27 year old Luis Alberto Chacon, also of Rome was arrested on a probation violation.
An inventory of the subject’s vehicle was conducted prior to it being towed away, and that’s when the device was found.
