Richard H. Franklin, age 87 of Huntsville, AL, passed on August 11, 2021. Born on March 13, 1934 in Hazel, SD, Dick was raised in Watertown, SD and a long-time resident of Fond du Lac, WI with his family, and later in Maryland, Tennessee and Alabama. His Christian ministry led to a master’s degree and key positions in the Wisconsin Dept.of Corrections. He retired from the Federal Division of Corrections in Washington DC.

He was preceded in death by parents Herbert H. & Irene Harris Franklin, sister Donna Stanislaus, brother Dale Franklin, nephew Doug Stanislaus and is survived by brother/sister-in-law Bill and Beth Franklin (Longview, TX) and his children; Rick Franklin (Milwaukee), Rhonda M. Lynn (Huntsville, AL) and Randy Franklin (Anchorage, AK) who gave him seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Private memorial service planned for later date.  Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory, Fort Payne, AL handling final arrangements.
