GADSDEN – The Cedar Bluff volleyball team won the Coosa Christian Invitational on Saturday.

The Lady Tigers defeated Faith Christian (21-25, 25-20, 15-9), Saks (25-9, 25-16) and Ragland (25-18, 25-17) in pool play.


Cedar Bluff then defeated Gadsden City in the semifinals 25-19, 25-22, and Cornerstone Christian Academy in the finals 25-17, 25-19.

For the day, Jordyn Walker contributed 28 digs, 18 kills and 14 aces. Maggie Clowdis collected 28 kills, 18 digs, 15 aces and four assists. Emma Haney had 15 kills, six aces and two digs. Haley Allen accumulated 71 assists, four kills and two digs.

Mattie Payne posted 24 digs, 12 aces and three kills. LaCie Roer added 11 kills and a dig. Natalie Baty had 11 kills, 11 digs and seven aces. Rylie Walker had 3 assists and an ace. Graceland Benton finished with two kills and a dig.


Cedar Bluff travels to Valley Head on Monday.
