A Gadsden man was arrested for Burglary 2nd, and Theft of Property 4th, according to Sheriff Jonathon Horton.

Investigator Wesley Smith said Jakeb Pruitt is accused of burglarizing a residence on Canoe Creek Rd N on 8/13/2021. The resident heard the intruder inside the house and called 911.

Deputy Harley Westmoreland responded to the scene and found Pruitt outside the residence. He was taken into custody and transported to the Etowah County Detention Center.

Pruitt confessed to entering the residence, Smith said. Pruitt is currently incarcerated in the Etowah County Detention Center without bond.
