Warriors’ Ramsey accounts for two touchdowns in football scrimmage loss at Trion, Ga.

TRION, Ga. – Cherokee County High School senior running back Damien Ramsey accounted for two touchdowns, but the Warriors fell at Trion, Ga. 37-20 in football scrimmage action on Friday night.

Trion scored the scrimmage’s first three touchdowns and held a 24-7 lead at halftime. Ramsey got the Warriors on the board near the end of the second quarter on a 4-yard touchdown run.

Ramsey caught a 55-yard touchdown pass from junior quarterback Cade Hopper in the third quarter to make the score 30-14. Jeb Crane scored the Warriors’ last touchdown on a 3-yard run on the last play of the scrimmage for the final.

Cherokee County opens the regular season at Piedmont on Aug. 27.
