A man charged with murdering a Chattooga County, Georgia high school student late last year has now been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Andy Espinosa, 29 – pled guilty on Wednesday of this week to killing 15 year old Zach Majia last December – and afterwards, was sentenced by Judge Kristina Cook Graham to that term.
According to the court documents Espinosa stabbed Majia at a residence on Williams Street in Lyerly – where he was living with the victim’s mother. When EMS units arrived at the location they found Majia suffering from multiple stab wounds to the chest. Espinosa was taken into custody a short time later, by Deputies with the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office.
Maija was transported to the hospital but later succumbed to the injuries.
