With school now back in session in Cherokee County motorists should observe all the safety rules in regard to school zones and school bus traffic.
Remember – on two lane roads AND multi-lane roads with a paved turn lane between lanes of traffic – all vehicles must stop in BOTH directions, when the bus is loading or unloading students. With school now back in session – you may want to give yourself a little extra time to get where you’re going to compensate for buses being on the roadways – both during the morning and in the afternoon.
Law enforcement officials will be out in force and will be on the lookout for motorists not complying with these safety rules.
