Man facing Additional Charges Following Scuffle with Police

A man was arrested this week in Rome while at Olea Olive Oils & Wine in Rome.

According to jail records – 28 year old Hayden Lee Tucker was placed under arrest at the store on charges of being drunk in public. 

Police stated that Tucker got into a scuffle with a Floyd County Sheriff’s Office Deputy and allegedly struck the officer.

Tucker was subsequently charged with several misdemeanor counts which included simple assault, drunk in public, criminal trespass, battery against a law enforcement official and unlawful acts of violence in a penal institution.

In addition to those misdemeanor charges, he faces four felony counts of Obstruction of an Officer.
