Firefighters Respond To Chicken House Fires For A Second Time At The Same Location

For the second time this week fire departments were called to the scene of multiple chicken houses being on fire at a location on County Road 75 in Cedar Bluff.

The Cedar Bluff, Tucker’s Chapel and Gaylesville Departments responded to the scene just before 3:00 Wednesday morning and found at least three chicken houses already burned to the ground.

Additional units from Broomtown were requested to provide assistance with a tanker truck and additional man power. Floyd EMS units also responded.

Firefighters were called to the same location early Sunday morning when three chicken houses were found burning. Fire officials say that there were NO chickens inside the houses at the time of the fires.

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the cause of the fires.
