According to the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) the state added 2,667 new cases of COVID-19 going from Monday into Tuesday – which is the highest daily total in nearly six months; of the cases 1,089 came from just three counties: Baldwin, Jefferson and Mobile.
Baldwin added 291 cases – while neighboring Mobile had a state-high 490 cases, and Jefferson County added 308 cases. No other county saw increases in the triple digits.
