Gadsden Man Arrested For Felony Forgery

A Gadsden man was arrested on Thursday, on two charges of Forgery 3rd which are felonies according to Sheriff Jonathon Horton.

Investigator Wesley Smith said Jonathan Dean is accused of making forged checks with the intent to defraud. A search warrant was executed at Dean’s residence in Oakley Estates area of Gadsden by Sheriff’s Investigators.

During the search forged checks, check making supplies, and equipment possibly used in the production of the checks were found in the residence, Smith said.

Dean is currently incarcerated in the Etowah County Detention Center on bonds totaling $3,000. Smith said the investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests are expected.
