During their most recent meeting, the Centre City Council approved the Annexation of certain portions of the Cherokee County Country Club into the Centre City limits.

The annexation was done by Ordinance.

Several citizens had formed and signed a petition and presented it to the council expressing their wishes to be incorporated into the corporate limits of the City of Centre.

The Mayor and Council determined that it was in the interest of the city for the said lands to be annexed into the city limits.

The areas annexed in will include ten tracts of land outlined in the ordinance and will not include the entire Country Club area.

City services in those newly annexed areas will not begin until October 1st.
