TheatreCentre Presents “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” / July 15th – 17th

For more than 70 years, people have loved “peanuts”; the comic strip that is – usually  referred to simply as “Charlie Brown”. 

Charles Schultz created the strip, originally called “Li’l Folks” back in 1950 and as the characters evolved, and eventually became “Peanuts”, the number of papers carrying the strip continued to grow – and, with the airing of the Christmas, Thanksgiving and Halloween animated TV specials, the popularity of the series exploded.

Then in 1967, the stage musical “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown”, made its debut; and now residents of Cherokee County and the surrounding area are in for a treat, as TheatreCentre stages their presentation of this popular favorite Thursday – Saturday (July 15th – 17th) at the newly renovated Centre Community Center – located at 635 Armory Road.

Director/Choreographer MaKenzie Green, along with the entire cast, dropped by the WEIS Radio studios earlier in the week to discuss the upcoming production including rehearsals and introducing the energetic cast members:
