An internet service provider is making a huge change – moving its headquarters from Georgia to Alabama.
Point Broadband has announced that they will be relocating their headquarters from West Point, Georgia to the Opelika (Alabama).
The company is leasing space in that northeast Alabama town until its new facility is completed; that according to the Opelika-Auburn News. Company officials are saying at least 25 new jobs will be created. The company provides fiber internet services to both residential customers and to businesses.
That move comes in the wake of the Opelika City Council approving several financial incentives such as tax abatements for the company.
