Collinsville’s Daniel Garrett named new head football coach at Rogers High School

Coach Daniel Garrett is going home.

Garrett has been named the new Head Football Coach at Rogers High School in Florence.

Garrett spoke to WEIS Radio Sports Director Shannon Fagan on Tuesday afternoon. “I am extremely honored to be named the head football coach at my alma mater, Rogers High School. I am extremely joyful to be coming HOME to a school & community that I love dearly.”

Coach Garrett had this message for the Collinsville faithful. “To my Collinsville family & friends: I am very grateful to everyone for a wonderful year & for all the support I have received from you throughout my tenure as your head coach. I have & continue to love those kids with all of my heart & know they have elite things ahead of them in their lives. I never intended for my time there to be so short but it’s just time for me to go home.”

Collinsville went 6-4 last season and just missed the state playoffs, the Panthers’ first year in Class 3A. Two of the wins were COVID forfeits.
