A 60 year old Rome, Georgia resident has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with rape. According to the warrant, the charge against Lawrence Wayne Nevins is related to incidents that involved a child under the age of 12 – occurring between January 2017 and December of 2020.
Nevins also stands charged with two counts each of aggravated child molestation and aggravated sodomy in connection with a number of incidents involving two children under the age of 10.
The specific dates cannot be determined due to the age of the children but could date back to 2012, according to the report.
