A male subject was rescued from the water near Pine Cone Marina in Leesburg on Sunday afternoon after apparently being ejected from his vessel that reportedly struck multiple boat houses. 

Cherokee County Rescue personnel, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Marine Patrol, Alabama Law Enforcement Marine Patrol, Floyd EMS, Leesburg Police and Leesburg Firefighters responded to the scene just off of County Road 245 just after 5:00 p.m.

The subject was found uninjured and holding onto a pole in the lake as a civilian boat picked him up and brought him to shore. 

The accident is under investigation by ALEA Marine Patrol.
