A two-vehicle accident took the life of a driver on Highway 27 between LaFayette and Trion, Georgia on Thursday afternoon. Details have yet to be released by the Georgia State Patrol Post in LaFayette – however the crash took place in the southbound lane near the intersection of Highway 27 and Midway Drive above the Walker/Chattooga County line.
Another accident was reported in the same vicinity involving two separate vehicles.
Reports have indicated that the fatality was a Chattooga County resident.
