COMMUNITY MEETING
Everyone is invited to attend a Community Meeting – Monday, June 28th, at 6:00pm – in the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce meeting room, located on the campus of Gadsden State Cherokee, 801 Cedar Bluff Road in Centre.
This is one in an ongoing series of meetings being hosted by Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, taking place across the county throughout the summer.
The purpose of these community meetings is to give citizens of Cherokee County one more way to connect with their Sheriff’s Office. Each program will open with a brief presentation, so that the public can have a greater understanding of just exactly what their Sheriff’s Office is doing and also be better informed on the current crime trends and projects being worked on locally.
Sheriff Shaver, Chief Deputy Josh Summerford, investigators, and other deputies will be on-hand at each meeting to answer questions or listen to concerns. Sheriff Shaver said, “we serve the citizens of Cherokee County and it’s important we hear from them about concerns within their community”
