UPDATE
We have an update on an individual that was struck by a vehicle while changing a flat tire by the roadside on I-59 early Monday morning. It appears the woman, listed as a resident of Kendall Park, New Jersey was attempting to change the flat near the 178 mile marker – when she was “clipped” by a passing motorist.
Reports indicate that the victim was seriously hurt, suffering major damage to one of her arms; she was transported to UAB for treatment and is expected to recover.
The incident remains under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
