Seven Jailed Thursday on Charges Ranging from Unlawful Controlled Substance to Failure to Appear

Cherokee County Arrest Files:

Stacy Lynn Roach, age 32 of Centre – Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (three counts), the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and the Illegal Possession of Prescription Drugs in addition to Failure to Appear on previous charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (two counts), Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, Assault 3rd Degree, Promoting Prison Contraband and Receiving Stolen Property 1st Degree;

Kenneth Rowland Edwards age 40, and Stephanie Earwood Osborne, 43 – both of Rome, Georgia – each charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree and Burglary 3rd Degree;

Eric Dennis Norton, age 40 of Gaylesville – Failure to Appear on prior charges of Driving while Revoked, Failure tio Display Insurance and a Probation Revocation;

Christopher Leigh Hunter, age 40 of Centre – Failure to Appear on prior charges of Resisting Arrest, Violation of Protection Order and Probation Revocation;

Chelsie Hope Taylor, age 23 of Piedmont – Failure to Appear on Probation Revocations;

and

Robert Keith McMurtrey, age 49 of Cedar Bluff – Failure to Appear on prior chharges of Speeding and Expired License

Arrests are based on probable cause – all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law

Currently there are 94 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
