Michael Nelson Carter, age 48 of Centre; Christopher Neal Gibbs, age 29 of Leesburg; and Tasie Blair Miranda, age 38 of Gadsden – Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (two counts);

Rachael Marie Burlington, age 32 of Rome, Georgia – Receiving Stolen Property 1st Degree;

Jonathon Wade McGatha, age 38 of Piedmont – Domestic Violence 3rd Degree;

Christopher Sherman Stubbs, age 41 of Centre – Attempting to Elude;

and

Barbara Joyce McCormick, age 22 of Centre – Forgery 2nd Degree.

Arrests are based on probable cause – all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Currently there are 85 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
