Providing Emergency Contact Information Could Help Enhance 911 Services

Cherokee County 911 is requesting your help to further enhance their capabilities by obtaining Emergency Contact Information. Day after day alarm companies are calling in alarm activation’s such as burglar alarms, fire alarms, and medical alarms. Once law enforcement or emergency service arrive on-scene, oftentimes they need to make contact with a key holder but in most cases that information isn’t available. This creates many issues especially if a door is found unsecured at a residence or business or if EMS is needing to make entry inside a residence because someone has fallen and the door is locked. Law enforcement and emergency services respects your property and doesn’t want to cause unnecessary damage by forcing entry if a key holder is available to quickly respond.

It would help if the Cherokee County Emergency Communications Center had your emergency contact information on file. This would allow Emergency Dispatchers to contact the appropriate person who could help gain access if needed or who could be made aware of certain situations so emergency responders can ensure the best outcome possible.
