Ida Mae Coker Ward, age 104 of Centre, passed away Tuesday, May 26th 2021 at her residence.
A graveside service will be held 9:30 AM Thursday, May 27th 2021 at Old Centre Cemetery with Bro. Melvyn Salter officiating.
Pallbearers include Chase Ward, Jeremiah S. Ward, Tony Ward, Ben Ward, Matt Hayden, Gary Smith, and Jamie Jordan.
Mrs. Ward was survived by her sons, Wm. Michael (Judy), John F., Charles P. (Brenda), James Andrew (Sandra); daughter, Emily; 6 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 1 step great grandchild, 1 great great grandchild; other relatives and friends also remain.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William W. “Bill” Ward, and her son, Samuel C. Ward.
Ida was the daughter of the late David Harper Coker and Effie Nazy Blackburn and a member of the Baptist faith.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Centre Cemetery Fund at Regions Bank in Centre.
