Three people were injured and one killed, during a two-vehicle accident taking place Monday morning in Etowah County.

We’ve yet to receive the full report – however WEIS Radio has learned that the wreck took place on U.S. 278 around 11:40, involving a 2005 Toyota and a 2014 Chevrolet.

A female passenger in the Toyota was fatally injured, while the driver – listed on that report as a female resident of Altoona, was hurt – while, in the Chevrolet, the driver – a male resident of Southside and a female passenger were both injured as well; the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency hasn’t released any additional information on the  the condition of any of those transported for treatment.

The cause of that wreck remains under investigation by state troopers.
