Emergency crews responded to numerous vehicle accidents across Cherokee County on Friday.

Just before 4:00 there was a single vehicle accident reported on County Road 22, at 4:19 p.m. there was a two vehicle crash occurring on West Main Street near Sonic. The Centre Police and Fire Department with Floyd EMS responded to that location.

At 5:10 p.m. there was a report of a two vehicle crash with injuries taking place on Weiss Lake Blvd. in Leesburg.

Just before midnight, Spring Creek Firefighters, Centre Police, Sheriff’s Deputies and Floyd EMS responded to the scene of a two vehicle crash taking place on Highway 411 & County Road 225 involving an 18 wheeler and a truck.

According to reports at least one person was taken to Floyd Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.
