DeKalb County Sheriff Nick Welden issued a news release on Wednesday of this week (May 19th) regarding their recent 5th grade DARE graduation, which included a wide variety of activities including a dance-off and a judo exhibition.
Sheriff Welden said due to COVID concerns, last year’s 5th graders had to miss out on their graduation, so they were invited to take part in THIS year’s event.
The sheriff stated that he was thankful for all the AMAZING teachers and SRO’s in the DeKalb County school system, adding they have some pretty amazing kids as well!
