SCOTTSBORO, Ala. — The Bassmaster Elite Series heads to Scottsboro for the Berkley Bassmaster Elite at Lake Guntersville May 20-23, the last tournament before the Academy Sports + Outdoors Bassmaster Classic presented by Huk.

The Yellowhammer State will be well-represented by the 12 Elite Series pros who call Alabama home, including Wes Logan, winner of the Elite tournament on Neely Henry earlier this week, Kyle Welcher and Matt Herren, who are both in the Top 10 of the Angler of the Year points race, Guntersville’s own Gerald Swindle, and 2019 Bassmaster Angler of the Year Scott Canterbury.

Other Alabama anglers competing include Justin Atkins, Clent Davis, Justin Hamner, Kelley Jaye, Steve Kennedy, Josh Stracner and Bill Weidler.

The tournament pits 98 of the top bass anglers in the world against big bass and one another as they battle for the coveted championship trophy, $100,000 first-place prize and a total purse of more than $760,000.

Beyond the tournament action, sports fans can experience the thrill of skimming across the river during a demo boat ride from Nitro, Ranger and Mercury, enjoy two days of family friendly activities and sample local food at the free Bassmaster Outdoors Expo on Saturday and Sunday.

Live coverage for all four days of the event can be streamed on Bassmaster.com and the FOX Sports digital platforms. FS1 will also broadcast live with the tournament leaders beginning at 7 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
