CENTRE – The Class 4A, Area 9 softball tournament hosted by Cherokee County High School has been moved to Thursday, May 6 and Friday, May 7 because of rain in the forecast.

The tournament was originally scheduled to begin Monday afternoon.

Jacksonville takes on White Plains in the double-elimination tournament opener on Thursday at 4 p.m. The winner will then face the Lady Warriors at 6:30 p.m.
