A Cherokee County man luckily escaped injury during a single-vehicle accident early Wednesday morning on County Road 33.
The driver listed on the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report as being a resident of Centre – apparently lost control of the 2003 Toyota pickup truck – leaving the roadway, going down an embankment and then striking several small trees.
That accident remains under investigation by state troopers.
