Next week’s area softball tournament pairings are set. Play begins next Monday and continues throughout the week.

Cherokee County High School is the site for the Class 4A, Area 9 tournament on May 3. Jacksonville battles White Plains in the opener at 4 p.m. The winner faces the Lady Warriors at 6:30 p.m.

Play continues on May 4 with the championship game set for 6:30 p.m. (4:30 p.m. on May 5 if necessary).

Collinsville hosts the Class 3A, Area 12 tournament on May 3 and takes on Glencoe at 3 p.m., followed by Hokes Bluff and Geraldine at 5 p.m. Winners from those games do battle at 7 p.m.

Play continues on May 4 with the championship set for 5 p.m. (7 p.m. if necessary).

In Class 3A, Area 11 at Pleasant Valley, the host Lady Raiders take on Ohatchee on May 4 at 4:30 p.m. Weaver battles Piedmont at 6:30 p.m.

Play continues May 6-7, with the championship scheduled for May 7 at 5:30 p.m. (7:30 p.m. if necessary).

Spring Garden is the host for the Class 2A, Area 12 tournament May 4.

Gaston and Sand Rock open the tournament at 4:30 p.m., with the winner taking on Spring Garden at 6 p.m.

Play continues on May 6, with the championship set for 5:30 p.m. (7 p.m. if necessary).

The Class 1A, Area 13 tournament is at Cedar Bluff on May 4. Valley Head takes on Gaylesville in the opener at 4:30 p.m., with the winner against Cedar Bluff at 6:30 p.m.

Play continues on May 6, with the championship scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
