Jimmy Dearl Rodgers, age 80 of Centre, passed away Thursday, April 22nd at Floyd/Cherokee Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 3:PM Sunday, April 25th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. George Cobb and Dr. Jeff Davis officiating; burial will follow in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3:PM Sunday, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Roy Latty, Ben Arnold, Mason Rodgers, Cooper Rodgers, Adam Christian, John Barton, Kendal Perry, Karlee Perry.
Survivors include his wife Gail Marie Arnold Rodgers; sons, Jimmy Dearl “Jimbo” Rodgers, Jr. (Donna) of Chickamauga, GA , Steven Edmund Rodgers (Kathy) of Centre; daughter, Kimberly Gail (Ken) Perry of Centre; grandchildren, Jenna (Adam) Christian, Molly (John) Barton, Mason & Cooper Rodgers, Kendal & Karlee Perry; great grandchildren, Cooper Christian, Hazel Barton; special son, Roy Latty; several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Chadwick Earl Rodgers; brother, Tommy Earl Rodgers; sister, Louise Smith.
Mr. Rodgers was a native of Arkansas, the son of the late Noel Earl and Martha Irene Coffman Rodgers and was a member of Centre First United Methodist Church.
Donations may be made to Centre First United Methodist Church or the family will accept flowers.
