MOBILE – The Cherokee County High School boys tennis team finished ninth at the Class 4A-5A state tournament in Mobile on Tuesday.

Daxson Stargell and Landon Caldwell both reached the semifinal round in No. 3 singles and No. 6 singles respectively.

Lohen Grimes and Will Stallings earned a berth in the No. 2 doubles semifinal round. Noah and Landon Caldwell earned a berth in the quarterfinal round of No. 3 doubles.

Madison Academy won the 4A-5A title after scoring 65 points. The Warriors finished with a total of 17 points.
