Lother Thomas “Sonny” Gossett, age 90, of Centre, passed away Thursday, April 8th at his residence.  

 

Graveside services will be 4pm Saturday, April 10th at Howell  Cemetery with Dr. George Cobb officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside on Saturday from 3pm until the hour of service. Pallbearers will be grandsons.  

 

Survivors include sons; Rickey (Renae) Gossett, Keith(Renee) Gossett, and Carl (Cindy) Gossett, all of Centre;  grandchildren; Jenny (Walt) Watkins, Drew(Claire) Gossett, Laura(Jay) Hood, Anna-Beth(Dylan) Green, Ross(Erin) Gossett, Allison(Adam) Shaw, and Wesley Gossett; great-grandchildren; Peyton & Will Rodgers, Landon, Kristen, & Lincoln Hood, Hadlee Green, Karlie & Carson Gossett, and Lilly & Kipton Shaw.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife,  Bonnie Ruth Gowens Gossett, son. Larry Gossett, and his granddaughter, Kristen Gossett.  

Mr. Gossett was a native of Centre, AL.  He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who offered his family much wisdom over the years.  He was known as a gentle man with a kind heart who provided lots of love and laughter.  

 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Building Fund or Howell Cemetery Fund.
