Flooding issues remain across Cherokee County as we have received between 3-4″ of rain over the last 12 hours.

 

Please use caution when driving due to standing water on the roadways.

 

According to the latest River Forecast lake levels are expected to rise to around the 568.2′ mark before cresting again. As of 4:30 this afternoon (Wednesday, March 31st) the Weiss Lake level is at 567feet and 10 inches with three units operating at the powerhouse.

The current generation outflow is at 25,686cfs. 

 

The Cherokee Emergency Management Agency will continue to monitor this flooding event and provide us with updates.
