Weiss Lake Level Continues to Rise – Now 3′ 10″ above Summer Pool / UPDATED

Due to the recent heavy rainfall – Weiss Lake has risen above summer pool and could reach an elevation of 568’ as early as today (Monday, March 29th).

Spill gates are open and Alabama Power (APC) will be providing periodic lake level updates. 

As of 5:30 this morning (Monday, March 29th) the Weiss Lake level is at 567’ 10” that’s 3’ 10” above full pool of 564’

Those having property around Weiss Lake should take action NOW to protect their property and belongings, motorists should also exercise caution with more and more roads across the area being subject to ponding or outright flooding; also, anyone that may be fishing on Weiss Lake should take extra care, due to a large amount of debris deposited in the water from the high winds and rain.
